from Richards Burhoe

WHEN I THINK OF JIM, I REMEMBER STANLEY KUNITZ’S POEM ‘THE ROUND’ AND ITS CONCLUDING LINES: “I CAN SCARCELY WAIT TILL TOMORROW / WHEN A NEW LIFE BEGINS FOR ME, / AS IT DOES EACH DAY,/ AS IT DOES EACH DAY."  I WISH FOR JIM ANOTHER DAY.  I FEAR  A FINAL SUNSET.  AND IF SO, I SHALL MISS HIS INDEPENDENT AND LACONIC VIEW OF LIFE AND LIVING.   BE IN PEACE JIM.   LISTEN TO THE COYOTES HOWL.          DICK
